The most dangerous illusion is that you (1) can, and (2) really want to think rationally, without decades of rigorous training and practice.
I suppose one way for a machine to pass the Turing test is to wait until the quality of actual human conversation is so bad that a bot could be an improvement. This seems to be happening here.

How can you realize that you have found a really important idea? Simple. It does not make you feel smart. It makes you feel stupid.
Individual human beings and the whole civilization works the same way. We are powered by knowledge, but controlled by faith. This fact is independent from the quality of that knowledge and faith. The result: our decisions, and thus, our "fate" depends on this quality.
